Tehran Chapter Activities

Continuing projects and happenings of interest include:

  • Making educational films about the environment for children and teenagers at the Green Planet Institute
  • Making pop music clips about the environment for young people
  • Various celebration/introductory meetings with those responsible for the Tehran educational organization. The environmental film used is distributed to all Tehran schools.
  • Celebration/introductory meeting with individuals from the Iranian Environmental Department, such as the Department Chief and Vice-President (Ms. Dr. Ebtekar) and her assistants. Requested they set up a cultural unit for children and teenagers in their department.
  • Making an environmental magazine for children
  • Various celebration/educational meetings for parents and health educators in school for 2 years
  • Partnership in Oxygen Canvas Festival in Eco-Center
  • Presence of the Sueden Ambassador at the official inauguration ceremonies of the Eco-Center
  • Celebration painting matches between persons visiting the Oxygen Canvas Festival at the Eco-Center
  • Partnership in the exhibition of the first student's document on education organization (in district 3)
  • Celebration meetings with those responsible for the Erame Sabz Complex and preparation to play billeet with a 40% discount
  • Attended the fourth International Environmental Exhibition
  • Partnership in Razi cultural-sports complex: established an environmental building and set up various programs

    Newly developed projects include:

  • Set up a musical unit in this institute. Unit's personnel comprises music school students.
  • Making an international eco-calendar. This calendar was distributed to many organizations, departments, institutes and school to increasing total citizen`s environmental information

EEIU Tehran Activity Report

After the Iranian Eco-Center was dissolved, the environmental institute GREEN PLANET, which is the only institute in Iran working with children, teenagers and youths in the form of art, invited me to be manager of their International Affairs unit. Within one month I was appointed and undertook total relations, planning, programing and presenting this new manner of education.

In the meanwhile, activities of the Green Planet Institute are as follows:

  • Making educational films about the environment for children and teenagers at the Green Planet Institute
  • Making pop music clips about the environment for young people

EEIU Tehran Activity Report

Special programs executed at the Eco-Center (ECO-ETHICS) in the last month include:

1. painting matches with environmental objects and natural materials (for teenagers)
2. story writing matches with environmental objects (for teenagers)
3. caricature painting matches with environmental objects
4. handiwork matches with environmental objects
5. education about composting at home (for local women)
6. public outreach and education: active women encouraged protection of the environment and informed other local women about how they could do the same
7. gardening matches
8. article collection on how to irrigate flowers while traveling (collected by the Eco-Center's Green Space Group)
9. eco-tourism
10. writing matches about general knowledge on rubbish and recycling (research to know how much information participants have on the topic)
