Chapter in Brief

Mission Statement
The Project Nabuur chapter is affiliated with the Institute for African Ecology and Philosophy. The main purpose of the chapter is to provide natural resource and science students with social and professional opportunities through community projects, tours for children, seminars and social events. It is funded by the Leah Foundation. We are committed to promote and defend reason, science, and freedom of inquiry in all areas of human endeavor.

Program Areas
Currently, the Chapter has four strategic offices in Ukunda, Nairobi, and Kisii within Kenya, and the diplomatic office in Arusha (Tanzania). Through its Kisii office, the chapter evaluates claims of the paranormal (phenomena allegedly beyond the range of normal scientific explanations), such as psychic phenomena, ghosts, communication with the dead, and alleged extraterrestrial visitations. It also explores the fringes and borderlands of the sciences, attempting to separate promising research from irresponsible pseudosciences, such as "creation science" and astrology. The Kisii office is also responsible for the study of Radioecology.

Regional Cooperation:
Project Nabuur Chapter is a member to the EEIU East Africa Initiative of which it houses the head office. Together with the EEIU Morogoro, they have stipulated an agreement that overseas regional development towards the EEIU Concepts and more so, geared towards the development of better thesis to EEIU.
