Chapter in brief

EEIU Ethiopia is a non-profit, non governmental research and educational organization. We work with environmentalists, researchers, volunteers and supporters, who are wholehearted about ecological ethics [eco-ethics] and economical ethics [econ-ethics] around the country to provide support to societies and communities in facing ecological challenges.

The main purpose of the organization is to raise awareness of eco-ethics, ecology, environmental protection and environmental sustainability through training, seminars, workshops, social events, community mobilization, community projects, and much more.

"Dedication to the promotion of ecological ethics [Eco-ethics] through community mobilization and participation"

Members of the organization are committed and devoted and accept responsibilities for the promotion of the aims of EEIU-Ethiopia

Start-up Projects

  1. Ecological newspaper
  2. Developing manuals for Training, workshops, symposium and conferences on eco-ethics
  3. Radio and television programs on eco-ethics to be aired on local stations
  4. Communicating the concept of eco-ethics for both governmental agencies and non governmental organization during policy making and implementations
  5. Ecological education for children and youth
  6. Advocating for alternative energy sources
  7. Advocating for prevention of pollution
  8. Lunching youth groups and taskforces at a regional level
  9. Teaching environmental ethics in primary, secondary and tertiary schools
  10. Establish a "green zone" where the concept of eco-ethics will be demonstrated

EEIU Ethiopia is developing working cooperation strategies with international and national organization on ecology and environment
