Chapter in Brief

In order to promote and teach environmental awareness and human responsibilities within the framework of eco-ethical concepts, it has been suggested to develop a series of multimedia presentations about the search for a new sustainable harmony between nature and humanity, to include an advertising video, cartoon films, and educational and documentary films.

    1. The event's slogan was exhibited on the Sevastopol city data display scrolling marquee at Lazareva Square from October 29-31.
    2. A BSAD-2006 eco-ethics lesson was carried out with students near the Institute of Biology of Southern Seas on October 30.

Report, 22 October 2004 (from Chair Dr. Igor Polikarpov)

Crimea Chapter: Activity Report

Personally and together with my colleagues from the 'Crimean Chapter', the following activity was done for the benefit of eco-ethics principles and for the EEIU itself:

  1. A lot of translation work and translating the Russian text of the EEIU Brochure for EEIU Headquarters (HQ). I was honoured with the EEIU Flag by HQ.
  2. Organizational advices to the 'Alushta Chapter' regarding eco-ethics activities in the 'Crimean State Reserve'. They act very effectively but linguistic problems prevent reporting to EEIU HQ.
  3. Everywhere I am I distribute the eco-ethics approach with words and with personal behavior in nature (land and sea) and in contacts to animals (aquarium fishes and other beings).
I am sure that an eco-ethical man/woman has an eco-ethical moral field around him/her. And the size of the field is proportional to the strength of his/her eco-ethical conviction.

"No reports" do not mean "absence" of eco-ethics activity, which (a) might be bright and very visible for short times such as forums and (b) might be currently invisible in EVERYDAY proper contacts to ALL persons in proper circumstances. Both are important, however the second one is more influential: "A drop makes a hole in a stone with often fall but not by force".

As I informed you, because of my departure for a long-term scientific research elsewhere I am going to propose a candidate for the Chair of the Crimean Chapter.

I would like to thank Prof. Otto Kinne and Mary Batson for very kind relations to me! I will continue to sow eco-ethics seeds always and everywhere!
