Chapter in Brief:
EEIU Yaroslavl, based in a major 'city of science', was founded with the intention of forming EEIU local departments (Borok - Yaroslavl - Moscow) and activating work in the fields of Youth Groups, Local Chapters and the Internet Forum. Dr. Zolotarev, Chair of EEIU Yaroslavl, founded the NOOSPHERE Information Fund, an NGO devoted to spreading the concepts of Noosphere and eco-ethics. In 2000 a Russian version of the NooDigest website was also developed. Currently Dr. Zolotarev is exploring the possibility of involvement with surrounding universities and rural communities.

Yaroslavl Chapter 2004 Activities
Our local organization Noochora published the book
Resources of the Noosphere Movement. Iss. 2. Materials
of the International Conference (Rybinsk, 2004, 274 p), in which
27 authors from different regions discuss problems closely connected
with eco-ethics.
We hope to share the main concepts in English as already done
at http://cairns.narod.ru (article "Sharing a Vision"
by John Cairns).
Some new contacts with environmental organizations in the Yaroslavl region were developed. A summer camp for ecological education was established (http://www.ibiw.ru).
A regional forest and water conservation project (Koprino Natural Park)
was discussed at the local government level.
